Location: Tauranga Racecourse, 1383 Cameron Road, Tauranga
Dates: Saturday 23 January 2016
The Tauranga A&P Show is an annual event celebrating the regions’ farming and agricultural heritage. With urbanisation an ongoing factor, we all forget that farming was the main way of life for kiwis, not too long ago. The event is a great opportunity for children to experience and learn about live animals, farming and the country lifestyle.
Run by the Tauranga Agricultural & Pastoral Association, the show encompasses all the things you’ve come to expect from an A&P show. Livestock displays, equestrian events, sheep dog trials, sheep shearing demonstrations, woodchopping, strongman event, a fairground atmosphere and more. There is also a trade and exhibition section for agricultural products and services.
The Tauranga event has the moniker of “Bringing the Country to the City”. It a great way to see the rural way of life, and the experience of living off the land. Have you ever milked a cow? This might be your chance!
It’s a great day out and kids will love the atmosphere and seeing the animals. Live entertainment is a big part of the show so bring along your sunscreen and hats for an exciting day outside.
